About

Dr. Kyoung Baik

I am a licensed psychologist and the founder of re-MIND Psychology. I am an alumna of the University of Idaho where I completed my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology and went on to earn my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. After finishing my pre-doctoral internship at Kansas State University, I completed my post-doctoral fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.  My path and journey led me to deeply appreciate human resiliency and instilled the values of human freedom and connection in me and my clinical work.

While I enjoy working with individuals for many different issues through Psychotherapy treatment, my strongest interests include anxiety, trauma, adjustment issues, and multicultural issues.  Some of my skillsets and therapy approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based Intervention, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT); I am a preferred provider for Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and well trained to serve the veterans in our community as well.

I provide various psychological assessments and evaluations including immigration evaluation and diagnostic testing for a wide range of issues that may impact individuals’ daily functioning. Some of these assessments and evaluations may involve the use of psychological measures through testing.

I currently reside in DFW, TX with my loving spouse and two adorable children. We enjoy traveling and building Legos together. In fact, you will get to see some of our beloved  Lego collections in my office if you visit me in person.

I was born and raised in South Korea, and living in the US as a racial minority taught me the importance of connecting individuals with the proper support and resources to thrive together with their community. I have a great passion for assisting individuals with an array of challenges in their growth, especially when they are challenged with exploring their identity and connecting not only with others but also with themselves. I love helping individuals feel connected, empowered, and fulfilled through their own journeys.

I cannot wait to get to learn about you and the journey that we can take together!
